Los Altos Stage Company Presents:
The Crucible by Arthur Miller
Directed by Jeffrey Lo

Los Altos Stage Company embraces its role as the quintessential American playhouse by bringing a central work of the American canon to life: Arthur Miller’s The Crucible.

Winner of the 1953 Tony Award for Best Play, Miller originally wrote The Crucible as an allegory for McCarthyism, cloaked in the story of four young girls who bring a 17th Century Massachusetts hamlet to its knees. Despite its classical setting, The Crucible has proved timeless, being adapted for film, television, and even opera. The play received its most recent Broadway revival in 2016, and now more than ever The Crucible reminds us that while the targets may change, hysteria, fear-mongering, and scare tactics will always pose a threat to American civility and liberty.

The Crucible features a talented cast of Bus Barn stage veterans, as well as several new faces, including Joe Antonicelli, Nicole Apostol Bruno, Michael Champlin, Jeff Clarke, Carolyn Compton, Mat Espinosa, Marjorie Hazeltine, Alexandra Ho, Leslie Ivy, Gary Landis, Maria G. Marquis, Shareen Merriam, Brittany Pisoni, Roneet Aliza Rahamim, Neiry Rojo, Ellie Schwartz, Max Tachis, Damian Vega, and Cameron Wells.
